Overview
Sweetwater, the nation’s number one online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking an enthusiastic, detailed, and music-loving Artist Relations Coordinator to join our growing Marketing team. You will be responsible for building, managing, and supporting strong relationships between Sweetwater and a diverse roster of artists, labels, management teams, public relations partners, and music industry gear manufacturers. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Artist Marketing, the Artist Relations Coordinator supports the development and execution of artist-focused marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, product discovery, and customer engagement.
This role serves as a critical bridge between artists and internal teams—including marketing, content, merchandising, event productions, and sales—to ensure partnerships are authentic, well-coordinated, and aligned with Sweetwater’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has deep roots in the music community, is highly organized and detail-oriented, thrives in collaborative environments, and is passionate about supporting artists while delivering meaningful business impact.
- Support the development and maintenance of long-term relationships with artists, labels, management, public relations partners, and gear manufacturers
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned artists while supporting the Director of Artist Marketing in managing broader artist relationships and priorities
- Ensure artists feel supported while aligning partnerships with Sweetwater’s brand values and marketing goals
- Support the Director of Artist Marketing in the planning, execution, and evolution of artist-related programs and partnerships
- Help identify and coordinate opportunities to spotlight gear, exclusive products, and experiences supporting business initiatives
- Collaborate with artists and internal/external content teams to support the creation of product demos, interviews, engaging content, and social media assets
- Assist in coordinating logistics and communication to ensure content remains artist-driven and supports brand objectives
- Support artist participation in on-campus events and activations
- Track and support artist-related deliverables, including content creation, appearances, social posts, and product usage
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in a Marketing Coordination or communications role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate situations if needed
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects at once while meeting tight deadlines
- Strong passion and understanding of music gear, the music industry, and artist/influencer marketing
- Ability to think creatively to move projects forward despite internal or external delays
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep work moving despite potential roadblocks
