Who We Are: The Chapel is a non-denominational church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with about 1,800 people gathering weekly to worship, grow, and serve. Our mission is to help people Believe in Jesus, Grow in their faith, Serve others, and Change their world for Christ. We’re passionate about connecting people to the larger Church and helping them discover real meaning and purpose through an accurate understanding and application of God’s Word.

5Key Responsibilities:
1) Ministry Programming & Preparation
- Plan and lead elementary programming, camps, and special events
- Prepare curriculum, teaching spaces, supplies, and tech for weekly ministry experiences
- Partner with the Kids Director to ensure consistent ministry leadership and execution
- Schedule and communicate with elementary volunteers
- Equip, encourage, and support volunteers to serve with confidence and excellence
- Recruit, develop, and retain effective ministry volunteers
- Lead the 4th–5th Grade Preteen Ministry through engaging programming and intentional discipleship
- Build meaningful relationships with preteens and encourage spiritual growth
- Develop age-appropriate experiences that prepare students for Student Ministry
- Coordinate childcare workers for church events and ministry programs
- Recruit, onboard, and train childcare team members
- Maintain childcare schedules, approved worker lists, and required records
- Build relationships with parents through consistent communication and encouragement
- Equip parents with lesson updates, resources, and practical next steps for family discipleship
- Help every family feel known, supported, and connected to The Chapel
Qualifications:
- A deep love for God and others.
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ marked by integrity and authenticity
- Agreement with The Chapel’s mission, values, and essential and distinctive beliefs
- Strong organizational, relational, and communication skills
- Ability to equip and encourage volunteers to serve effectively
- High attention to detail and commitment to creating safe, welcoming environments
Regular
Work Schedule:
Mondays-Thursdays, Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings: 30-35 hours/week, 12 months
Compensation commensurate with experience.
