Clinical Operations Manager - Preop and PACU

Indiana University Health is building a new full-service hospital in Fort Wayne to expand access to high-quality, patient-centered care. The facility will include emergency, surgical, and specialty care, with 10 PACU beds, 4 endoscopy suites, 26 pre/recovery beds, 6 cath lab prep areas, and 6 operating rooms. The clinical manager of operations combines clinical experience with leadership practices to achieve outcomes in quality and safety, care affordability, patient and team experiences, and staff development.
This is a fully onsite role Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM with availability to round evenings and weekends and on call one week out of four. The ideal candidate will have preop and PACU experience and experience creating standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic vision and operational planning for the assigned unit.
- Lead an interprofessional team to empower excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
- Embed evidenced-based practices and professional nursing standards to advance nursing practice.
- Ensure 24x7 operating coverage, including weekends and holidays, with appropriate staffing and resources.

- Key Relationships:
Cath Lab, Endoscopy, OR
- Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
- If bachelor degree is not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or Nuclear Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.
