Make a Difference. Lead with Purpose.

At Byron Wellness Community, our mission, vision, and values guide everything we do. We are seeking a compassionate and driven Nursing Supervisor (RN or LPN) to lead our care teams and ensure the highest standards of excellence for our residents.

In this leadership role, you will oversee daily nursing operations, support staff development, and help create an environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness—every single day.

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day nursing activities during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with Byron policies and all federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners closely with the Director of Nursing to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care while fostering a supportive and accountable team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily nursing operations and ensure quality care standards are consistently met
  • Support the Director of Nursing in managing and improving clinical processes and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, residents, and families regarding changes in condition, care plans, and transitions
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing staff
  • Ensure proper staffing coverage and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Oversee medication administration and treatment schedules for accuracy and compliance
  • Conduct rounds to ensure adherence to care standards and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with survey preparedness and compliance with regulatory inspections
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to Charge Nurses and nursing team members
  • Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents
  • Investigate and report incidents, safety concerns, and allegations of abuse or policy violations
  • Provide direct patient care as needed, including assessments, IV starts, specimen collection, and vital sign monitoring
  • Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and accountability
Who we are looking for:
  • Current Indiana RN or LPN license (required)
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to make independent clinical decisions
  • Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Flexibility, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call‑ins
  • Active role involving movement throughout the facility
  • Ability to lift, move, or assist up to 25 pounds
  • Comfort working with diverse populations, including elderly and medically complex residents

At Byron, you’re more than a team member—you’re part of a community dedicated to care, respect, and excellence. We invest in our people, support your professional growth, and empower you to make a meaningful impact every day.
