Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)

As a Medical Support Specialist at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., you will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician. Your focus will be on ensuring donor safety, eligibility, and regulatory compliance while maintaining high-quality customer service.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and review of serological tests such as SPE.
• Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings.
• Evaluate donor reactions during the facility procedures and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including donor transport to emergency care.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical findings and guidance on donor safety and eligibility.
• Support employee vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) and manage employee incident evaluations.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats in the local community.
• Provide center-level support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and follow guidance regarding employee incidents.

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Valid state nursing license (LPN or LVN) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.
• Familiarity with regulations governing plasma collection or a manufacturing environment.

• Estimated hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44 (location based).
