Job Description
As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, you will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Physician, ensuring donor safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance regarding medical or technical issues, donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health or ER, following EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) licensed in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for the Bio Life Medical Support Specialist program.
- Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Location:
USA – IN – Fort Wayne – Coldwater Rd.
Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98.
