American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position at a Level 3 Perinatal Center in Fort Wayne, IN, requiring at least 3 years of high‑acuity L&D experience.

Qualifications
  • Active IN RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E.
  • All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
  • Minimum 3 years of L&D experience required, preferably in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity setting
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • US Social Security Number required
Responsibilities
  • Work in a 15‑bed Labor & Delivery unit at a Level 3 Perinatal Center averaging 250+ deliveries per month
  • Patient population includes obstetrical patients presenting for PPROM, SROM, rule‑out labor, IOL, Cesarean delivery, pre‑eclampsia, antepartum concerns, and more
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 13‑week contract
  • No on‑call requirements
  • No floating required
  • Block scheduling is available
  • EMR:
    Cerner
  • Hospital‑issued scrubs provided
  • Provide bedside RN care to obstetrical patients across a wide range of labor and delivery needs in a high‑volume, high‑acuity environment
  • Orientation consists of 2 shifts
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • RTO is capped at 36 hours for the contract duration, and individual RTO requests must be less than one week
  • No RTO blackout dates or required holiday coverage
  • Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
