Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week cardiovascular OR travel assignment in Fort Wayne, IN, requiring 2–4 years of CV experience and proficiency in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases.

• Active IN state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• 2–4 years of recent cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience required
• Proficiency circulating complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

• Open Heart Surgery unit with 4 OR suites
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call required every 5th weekday and every 5th weekend
• Block scheduling is not available
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Cases include CABG, AVR, MVR, Ascending Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Root Replacement, AAA repair, Femoral-Popliteal Bypass, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV fistula, Impella placement, Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), ECMO, Thoracotomy, and Robotic Thoracotomy
• EMR:
  Cerner (experience preferred)
• 13-week contract
• Circulate complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases independently
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Requested time off (RTO) must be less than one week in duration
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
