Description:
The role involves caring for laboring, pre-term, postpartum OB patients, and newborns.
Responsibilities include performing vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation.
Required skills include the ability to utilize computerized charting, medication systems, and equipment relevant to the unit.
The unit employs EPIC documentation, Pyxis medication management, Hospira IV pumps, and GE Corometric fetal monitoring.
Orientation consists of mandatory attendance for training sessions.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is currently unknown.
The dress code requires Caribbean blue scrubs.
Floating to other units or departments is not required.
Weekend shifts may be necessary.
