Labor and Delivery is a 16-room high-acuity unit dedicated to caring for laboring mothers and providing advanced maternal care in a Level III Perinatal Center of Excellence. The unit specializes in managing high-risk pregnancies and deliveries and is equipped to function across multiple levels of care, including ICU-, emergency-, medical-surgical-, and operative support. The department includes 16 labor and delivery rooms, five triage rooms, two pre-operative rooms, two PACU bays, and two operating room suites to support emergent and planned cesarean deliveries.

Care is delivered by a highly skilled, interdisciplinary team supported by one patient care technician per shift, ensuring continuous monitoring, rapid response, and safe outcomes for both high-risk mothers and infants in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Qualifications:

• Requires a diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN
• Valid Indiana registered nurse license required. CPR certification.
• Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. (Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.) Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
