L&D – RN

Currently seeking qualified Registered Nurse (RN) candidates to staff full-time 13-week contracts in L&D, at a great hospital in the Terre Haute area. Opportunities are available on night shifts. We are looking for Nurses with L&D Experience. 2 years of experience with circulating C-Sections is required. Guaranteed 36 hours per week. Current pay is $36 per hour, depending on RN location (local vs travel)

Requirements of the Registered Nurse – RN
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensed within the state of Indiana.
  • 2+ years of circulating C-Sections required.
  • 2+ years of previous L&D experience required.
  • BLS through AHA required.
  • ACLS through AHA required.
  • NRP required.
  • Must be okay to work at BOTHPRMC and Parkview Randallia locations.
  • Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure
  • Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly
  • Active BLS,physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility

Responsibilities of the L&D - RN
  • Organize and deliver the care of a group of patients with needs of varying complexity.
  • Plan, direct, assess, and provide nursing care according to the policies and procedures of the hospital and department.
  • Provide Direct patient care in the L&D setting.
  • Monitor and assess critically ill patient conditions while administering medications, treatments, and procedures ordered by the Provider.
  • Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, and IV pumps.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient status or emergencies, and be prepared to provide immediate intervention.
  • Educate patients and family members regarding medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in an electronic medical record.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and protocols while maintaining safety standards to ensure quality patient care.
  • Participate in any continuous education and training to stay in compliance.
