Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

We’re looking for an experienced RN leader who wants to make a meaningful difference—not just manage a department. As our Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll work closely with the Director of Nursing to support our clinical team, strengthen resident care, and create an environment where employees can succeed.

What you’ll do
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily operation of the nursing department
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing employees
  • Help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care
  • Monitor nursing practices, documentation, and changes in resident condition
  • Support employee scheduling, staffing, orientation, training, and development
  • Assist with infection prevention, quality improvement, and risk‑reduction efforts
  • Participate in resident care planning and communicate with residents, families, and providers
  • Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements
  • Support surveys, audits, investigations, and corrective action plans
  • Step in for the Director of Nursing when needed
What you need
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Indiana license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Nursing leadership experience preferred
  • Long‑term care or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support a nursing team
  • A dependable, professional, and team‑first approach
