Join a dynamic cardiovascular operating room team in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where you’ll have the opportunity to work on complex, high-acuity surgical cases in a supportive, fast-paced environment. This travel CVOR RN role is ideal for an experienced perioperative nurse who enjoys precision, collaboration, and the challenge of circulating advanced cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.   • Position: CVOR Registered Nurse / Cardiovascular Operating Room RN
  • Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
  • Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
  • Start Date: 10/5/2026
  • End Date: 1/4/2027
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,870 - $3,020
  • On-Call: 1 night per week and every 6th weekend
  • Floating: Not required
  • Setting: Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room
Job Requirements
  • Active RN license in Indiana
  • BLS certification required
  • At least 2 years of CVOR experience preferred
  • Experience circulating complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
  • Must be able to support travel assignment requirements
Responsibilities
  • Circulate complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures as a perioperative RN
  • Support cases such as CABG, AVR, MVR, aortic aneurysm repairs, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula procedures, Impella placement, ECMO cases, and thoracotomy
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and OR team members to promote safe, efficient surgical care
  • Maintain patient safety and high standards of perioperative nursing practice
  • Prepare the OR for complex cases and ensure readiness of supplies and equipment
  • Adapt quickly to changing surgical needs while maintaining attention to detail
