Laborer A – Seasonal Street Department (Public Works)

Schedule:

Typically 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM or 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (hours may vary) Pay: $17.00 per hour

Join the Public Works Street team helping maintain safe roads, clean neighborhoods, and functional infrastructure across the community. You'll work outdoors with a crew completing street repairs, seasonal cleanup, and general maintenance projects that residents rely on every day.

• Assist with street repair and resurfacing projects
• Perform cleanup work including leaf pickup, sweeping, mowing, and snow removal
• Load, unload, stack, and store materials and supplies
• Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment to complete daily assignments
• Remove debris and perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs

• High school diploma or GED
• No experience required - training provided
• Valid Indiana driver's license
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be at least 18 years old

This is an active outdoor role involving standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working in heat, cold, dust, and noise. Safety procedures and equipment are provided.
