Essential Duties
- Documents and completes all internal and external requests for Corrective Action as well as all nonconforming materials reports.
- Investigates and documents root‑cause analysis and initiates and completes long‑term actions.
- Controls the non‑conforming area to ensure that all non‑conforming product is adequately reviewed for possible rework or scrap. Ensures no product is allowed to continue in the production process unless adequately tested to meet all customer requirements.
- Acts as the Element Champion for ISO
- Generates weekly reports detailing current nonconformances and all external issues.
- Coordinates problem‑solving efforts to ensure that all aspects of any problem are reviewed and acted upon to conform to the quality system plan.
- Interacts with customers to ascertain problems and complaints with the objective to resolve these problems and complaints using team‑oriented problem‑solving techniques.
- Trains workers in the inspection and testing procedures necessary to ensure the quality of the operations being performed.
- Interacts among all departments to ensure that they know and understand the Quality System Plan.
- Trains department co-workers in proper root‑cause analysis for cross‑functional team development. Performs all sampling and part approval inspection necessary to meet customer requirements.
- Performs In-Process audits and inspection to ensure parts are being correctly produced and proper procedures are followed by Production.
- Performs calibration and properly operates equipment such as CMM, Romer, etc.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years part inspection experience with knowledge of blueprint reading and use of equipment. A solid background in Quality System procedures is needed, along with experience in 8-d corrective actions, root‑cause analysis and mistake‑proofing is preferred
