The Quality Engineer will support product and process quality through data analysis, problem-solving, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify defects, improve processes, and ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.
Responsibilities- Investigate quality issues and defects using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Support component and process quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain quality reports, documentation, and data analysis.
- Support PPAP, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, and other quality activities.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and inspection requirements.
- Use Minitab or similar statistical analysis software to evaluate process data.
- Present quality data, findings, and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization efforts.
- Provide guidance and oversight to other Quality Engineers as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and measurement/gauging techniques.
- Experience with PPAP, SPC, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- Proficiency with Minitab or similar data analysis software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and present technical data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
