Are you a strategic quality leader who is passionate about building strong systems, developing high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement? Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality function in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In this highly visible leadership role, you'll oversee quality strategy, strengthen quality systems, lead customer and regulatory compliance initiatives, and partner with Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to deliver exceptional product quality and customer satisfaction. What You'll Do
Lead Quality Strategy & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the site Quality organization
- Establish and execute the site's quality strategy aligned with business objectives
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement
- Lead cross-functional quality initiatives that improve operational performance
- Maintain and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements
- Lead customer, internal, and third-party audits
- Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures, and documentation
- Monitor and report key quality metrics including customer complaints, defects, scrap, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities
- Drive Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives
- Utilize statistical tools and data analysis to improve process capability
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers
- Lead customer issue resolution and corrective action activities
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve product and process performance
- Build strong relationships with customers while maintaining a high level of responsiveness
- Plan and execute internal quality audits
- Coordinate customer and third-party audits
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions
- Promote best practices across the organization
- Provide quality-related training and coaching throughout the organization
- Mentor employees in problem-solving methodologies and quality systems
- Promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing across departments
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Business, or a related field preferred
- 5-10 years of quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Supervisory or people leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, SPC, CAPA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with ISO quality standards and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience with Minitab, Microsoft Office, and ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQA, or CQM
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025, AS9100, or similar quality standards
- Manufacturing experience within advanced materials, plastics, polymers, or medical products

The salary range for this position is $130,000-$145,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
