About The Role
What if your years of training in biology could directly shape how AI understands life sciences — from genetics and molecular biology to biotechnology and bioinformatics? We're looking for Biology experts with advanced degrees to tackle complex, real‑world scientific problems that help train the next generation of cutting‑edge AI models.
Biology Expert (AI Training)This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll work asynchronously alongside leading AI researchers, applying your domain expertise to problems that actually matter — with no commute, no lab politics, and no rigid schedule.

- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance.
- Design complex problem statements drawing on expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related disciplines.
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, depth, and rigor.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model performance.
- Ensure scientific clarity and precision across all deliverables.
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule.
- Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, etc.).
- Strong expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics.
- Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or data analysis.
- Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex science without sacrificing accuracy.
- Detail-oriented and methodical — scientific rigor is non-negotiable for you.
- Fluent in English.
- Prior experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or AI training workflows.
- Background in research, academic publishing, or science communication.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines, genomics tools, or computational biology methods.
- Experience reviewing or peer-reviewing scientific work.
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs.
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you.
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based scientific work.
- Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and reasons about biology.
