Position Summary
We are seeking Concessions Team Members to support the efficient operation of concession stands by preparing food, serving guests, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This role ensures high quality service by following established procedures for food safety, cash handling, and guest interaction. Employees are expected to work collaboratively with stand leadership to maintain speed of service and product consistency during events.
Work is performed under direct supervision, with clear guidelines and expectations for performance and conduct.
Fort Wayne FC home matches run mostly on Saturday evenings from May 2 through October 24, with a few Wednesday matches. Additional stadium event dates will vary.
Essential Responsibilities- Prepare and serve food and beverage items according to stadium standards and recipes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately, process payments, and follow all cash handling procedures to maintain financial integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and guest facing areas to meet health department and stadium sanitation requirements.
- Restock products, condiments, utensils, and supplies throughout the event to support continuous service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen awareness protocols to ensure guest safety.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests, assisting with questions and resolving minor concerns.
- Support stand setup and breakdown, including equipment preparation, product organization, and end of event cleaning.
Skills and Abilities
- Basic understanding of food handling, sanitation, and customer service principles.
- Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with guests, coworkers, and supervisors. Ability to follow instructions, adhere to procedures, and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and operating POS systems.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive, professional attitude during high volume periods.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Works under the direction of Stand Leaders, Stand Managers, and Concession Supervisors.
Experience and Training- No prior experience required; previous food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
- Must complete required stadium training, including food safety, cash handling, and guest service modules.
- Must meet minimum age requirements 21+ ONLY for alcohol service roles.
- Demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work event driven schedules.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during events. Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25–30 lbs.
- Ability to work in warm environments near cooking equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as scooping, pouring, and operating POS systems.
- Fast paced, high energy stadium setting with large crowds.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including outdoor conditions depending on stand location.
- Noise levels may be high during peak events times.
Interact regularly with guests, coworkers, Stand Leaders, Stand Managers, and Supervisors. Represents the stadium’s brand and guest service standards through direct customer interaction. Contributes to overall event success by supporting efficient concession operations and maintaining a positive guest experience.
Event AttireEvent day staff will be provided with a designated event staff shirt and will need to wear their own khaki pants or long shorts (based on an approved attire list). Comfortable shoes are suggested.
