$13.00 to $16.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.
Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides. The role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and other transactions across a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities- Greet and interact with all customers to build rapport and recommend financial solutions.
- Perform non‑management open and close procedures.
- Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and display merchandise.
- Execute sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle all cash and negotiable items safely and accurately.
- Answer incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy‑back transactions to customers.
- Collaborate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using clear communication tools.
- Contribute to a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully complete assigned training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) as required by law.
- Willingness to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
- Ability to assist customers outside the building and retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work with and serve customers; team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Flexible to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
