Deli Team Supervisor

• Plan and oversee day‑to‑day operations in various store departments.
• Mentor and coach all team members, ensuring service excellence.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive sales and maintain store appearance.
• Recruit, staff, select, hire and promote staff; manage staffing needs.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations for discharge.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales targets and maintain shrink for the department.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative during meetings and conversations.
• Ensure all team members complete required training.
• Spend majority of time in store interacting with customers and staff.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Experience in rotating store areas such as meat, bakery, produce, deli, customer service and product flow.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, multitasking and financial analysis skills.
• Experience in suggestive selling and teaching.
• Commitment to workplace safety and mentoring all team members, including SDITs and hourly staff.
• Completion of all required certifications.
