ABOUT THE JOB

Domino’s Pizza is looking for energetic and self‑motivated individuals to serve as Assistant Managers. Candidates should be natural leaders with strong judgment, math skills, and the ability to multitask.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES

The Assistant Manager is responsible for everything that occurs during the shift. Key duties include:

  • Cost control and inventory management
  • Cash handling and reconciliation
  • Customer relations and service
  • Policy compliance and crew leadership
  • Staffing, scheduling, and paperwork
  • Work to a schedule and maintain a perfect image
  • Store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability
  • Adherence to standards and attendance/punctuality
  • Transportation to/from work

QUALIFICATIONS

General job duties for all store team members:

  • Operate all equipment
  • Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler
  • Prepare product
  • Receive and process telephone orders
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily

Training

Orientation and training are provided on the job.

Communication Skills

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions/Skills

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator use permitted)
  • Make correct monetary change
  • Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for precise movements with speed
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash or performing outside tasks
  • In‑store temperatures from 36° to 90°+ in some work areas
  • Sudden temperature changes in the work area and while outside
  • Fumes from food odors
  • Exposure to cornmeal dust
  • Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler
  • Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500° or higher
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts

SENSING

  • Talking and hearing on telephone
  • Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks
  • Depth perception
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces

TEMPERAMENTS

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing

Most tasks are performed from a standing position.

Walking

Short distances for short durations within areas including ceramic tile and linoleum. Work surfaces 36-48” high.

Sitting

Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.

Lifting

  • Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more and are unloaded by the team member using a hand truck.
  • Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Cases are usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72” high.

Carrying

  • Large cans (~3 lbs 7 oz) carried from workstation to storage shelves.
  • Pizza sauce (~30 lbs) carried from storage to front of store.
  • Trays of pizza dough carried three at a time, approx. 12 lbs per tray.

Pushing

  • Move trays placed on dollies; a stack of trays on a dolly roughly 24"–30" requires up to 7.5 lbs of force to push.
  • Trays may also be pulled.

Climbing

Team members may infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance.

Additional Information

Stooping/Bending

  • Forward bending at waist necessary at pizza assembly station.
  • To flex knees while standing at this station is not possible.
