Big C Lumber is currently seeking a Yard Manager for our Fort Wayne, IN lumber yard. This is a full-time position with benefits, annual salary between $50,000-$70,000.
We are currently building a brand-new Big C Lumber facility near the US 30 and I-69 interchange
, giving you the opportunity to join our team as we expand our presence in the Fort Wayne market. This is an exciting time to become part of Big C Lumber and help us build something new in the community!
Essential Functions:
- Personnel management and training
- Invoice delivery tickets and transfers
- Ensure accuracy of all incoming and outgoing freight
- Maintain a clean and well-organized yard
- Receive all materials
- Aid with loading and unloading trucks
Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to obtain CDL B if needed
- 3 years' experience in industry preferred
- Self-motivation, leadership skills, team player
- Ability to accurately and rapidly meet deadlines
- Above average knowledge of equipment and materials
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 80lbs
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of times
- Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh and extreme weather conditions
- Ability to coordinate as well as work in a team
- Ability to adapt to in-house software
- Basic computer skills and knowledge
