• Engage with customers, greet them, and assist them to create a positive shopping experience.
• Help customers find the right products, provide recommendations and offer solutions for their projects.
• Stock and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, well‑presented store.
• Answer phone calls in a polite and timely manner, addressing customer inquiries.
• Assist with inventory‑related tasks, including performing cycle counts, verifying stock levels and maintaining accurate records.
• Upsell related items and promote the Do It Best reward program to build loyalty.
• Follow company standards and procedures to ensure smooth store operations.
• Process checkouts accurately, adhering to proper cash handling procedures.
• Continuously expand knowledge of products across all departments to enhance service and identify selling opportunities.
• Address and resolve customer issues with management support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Complete all assigned training to stay up‑to‑date with product knowledge and company policies.
• Assist in other departments/functions as needed to provide great customer service.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in using computers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Previous retail or related industry experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with cycle counting or inventory processes is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet customer needs.
• Ability to be a team player, help out wherever needed and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to anticipate customer needs and provide effective solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment, staying flexible and adaptable.
• Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25–50 lbs, bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout your shift.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as required by the business.
