Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for new business development through lead generation, client contacts, and meetings that result in new business wins and continued client cultivation. We take the time to build relationships with clients and candidates so we can truly understand what they need and how we can help them succeed.
We're looking for a Business Development Manager for our Fort Wayne, IN market. This BDM will oversee the following counties and drive new business:
Allen, Adams, Huntington, & Wells.
- Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 base salary, with room for growth.
- Commission: Uncapped commission structure.

- Research new companies, source contacts, and execute new business development calls and meetings.
- Expand the client base by developing and providing solution-based options.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline and prospect plans to drive growth, documenting all activity in the CRM.
- Facilitate RFPs, agreements, and client business reviews.
- Price and negotiate business in alignment with market strategy.
- Collaborate with the recruiting team to ensure desired business results.
- Actively participate in assigned territory networking functions.
- Identify and qualify business leads.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but not required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of verifiable sales experience, preferably in B2B selling.
- Skills:
- Proven success in a very fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong PC skills and the ability to leverage technology tools.
- Ability to understand and apply basic business and financial concepts.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle 60-75% of the time for client visits and networking.
- A desire to increase business opportunities by being actively involved in the local community.
