The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships across our key business markets, including powersports, automotive, and marine. This position blends field travel to major accounts, distributors, and industry events with in-office collaboration alongside the business unit in Fort Wayne, IN.
The Sales Account Manager is also a key collaborator in new product development, responsible for defining the market strategy to ensure successful launches. This includes thoroughly outlining the launch budget, identifying the primary and secondary target audiences, and designing compelling incentive programs for distribution partners to accelerate product adoption.
This position will report directly to the Board of Owners and work functionally under the guidance of the Director of Sales to drive revenue growth, brand expansion and recognition, marketing opportunities, and purchasing program development.
Performance aftermarket industry experience is required with a lubrication background being strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage relationships with key accounts, distributors, and dealers
- Integrate with the internal operations team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a regular communication cadence and call reporting structure
- Track performance and forecast demand
- Identify new opportunities and challenges
- Execute pricing strategies, promotional programs, and product launches
- Gather market research and competitive feedback to shape product development
- Develop and support marketing initiatives and industry events
- Represent the company professionally and with technical credibility
- Prepare and present business status updates to leadership
- Commensurate with experience
- Up to 60% travel to key accounts and strategic events
