HP Retail Sales Associate (Part‑Time)

Location

Best Buy 228 – Fort Wayne, IN 46805

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $17.50 per hour
. Work up to 15 hours per week. Saturday and Sunday preferred; flexible Friday options may be available.

About the Position

The role involves driving sales, creating buzz around the HP brand, and providing engaging demonstrations in Best Buy and surrounding office‑supply stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate HP products to customers and tailor demonstrations to meet their needs.
  • Build rapport with customers and maintain professional relationships with store management and staff.
  • Train retail store associates on HP products and services.
  • Maintain product displays for cleanliness, functionality, and demo‑readiness.
  • Track and report sales activity to Retail Operations.
  • Meet or exceed personal sales goals on a monthly and weekly basis.
  • Assist customers in making selections by building confidence and providing relevant information.
  • Accurately document sales and submit required paperwork.
  • Ensure work station/kiosk is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Provide competitive insights and report observations.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of job experience.
  • 6 months prior sales, retail, telecom, or marketing experience.
  • Strong product knowledge and excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Out‑of‑the‑box thinking, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Comfortable engaging with customers and facilitating demonstrations.
  • Ability to conduct selling process and overcome objections.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail or customer service experience in electronics, tech, or wireless.
  • Training or product demonstration experience.
  • Experience in a selling process that connects with customer needs.
