Join our team at Bright Star Care of Lafayette, where our focus is enriching lives and creating opportunities. The Business Development Representative is responsible for continuing to develop existing territory in an effort to increase sales. They will do this by establishing and maintaining contacts that will develop into sales leads. They will have a strong presence in the community and actively promote the Bright Star brand.

- Energetic, team oriented, supportive office atmosphere
- Call on healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics and eldercare facilities in order to generate sales for both Health Care Staffing, Private Duty and soon to be Medicare clients.
- Meet or exceed established sales targets.
- Develop Marketing Plan for their territory.
- Join and attend area networking and chamber groups.
- Seek, develop and participate in marketing opportunities in the community.
- Establish working rapport with health care professionals in the territory.
- Meet with clients and families.
- Manage skilled referrals for the Branch (Med Setup, IV Infusions, Wound Care, Therapy, etc.).
- Other duties assigned
- Proven ability to generate leads and monitor referrals, to manage a sales territory, maintaining and building relationships with new and existing contacts.
- One year experience in the home healthcare industry, preferred.
- Experience with public speaking (in addition to presentation skills). Strong at persuasive and educational writing and speaking.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and problem solving.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of health care in home and institutional setting.
- Comfortable with closing/asking for business.
- Exhibit outstanding organizational skills and a service attitude towards the community.
- Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance.
