Freight Broker

Freight Co, LLC of Fort Wayne, IN has an available position of Freight Broker/Carrier Representative. This position provides a solid base salary with additional earning potential from bonus/commission.

• Solicit/Source freight carriers, develop carrier network to meet operational and customer needs.
• Continuous development of carrier group specific to current and potential operational needs.
• Provide carrier management specific to on-time pick ups and deliveries.
• Work directly and indirectly with customer service and sales to achieve full utilization of carrier network.
• Onboard and maintain assigned carriers profile in transportation management system, specific to carrier qualifications, and operational changes.

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Able work in a fast paced/competitive industry.
• High level organizational and follow up skills.
• Success driven, ability to participate in organizational development.
• Strong negotiating and influencing abilities.
• Sales focused -  Winning  attitude".
• Technology proficient in standard Microsoft office application, and the aptitude to work with industry specific applications and management systems.
• Transportations experience, or similar sales related experience desired. Entry level, recent college graduates will be giving strong consideration.
