Tanning Representative

Overview

The Tanning Representative is the club level specialist of our Relax and Recover department. Maintains in-depth knowledge of our tanning beds, hydro massage, and spray tan units, and serves as the lead for service and product sales.

• Consult with customers in a professional, upbeat manner and knowledgeably suggest safe tanning times and suitable tanning options (UV beds and spray tans).
• Operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Engage in social media and community outreach to promote services.
• Reach and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Complete daily administrative paperwork and track goals.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to increase tanning product sales.
• Maintain a clean, organized tanning facility with consistent sanitation standards.
• Explain differences among tanning equipment, UV light types, and different tanning lotions.
• Balance needs of the tanning desk during high-traffic periods.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in retail or customer service
• Reliable transportation
• Current CPR/AED Certification
• Smart Tan Certification (paid for by Fitness Ventures LLC)
• Salon management and sales experience is preferred
