VOSS Automotive is a leading global supplier to on-highway and off-road OEMs, specializing in the design and manufacture of Diesel Exhaust Fluid Lines, Coolant Lines, Air Suspension Lines and Fittings, Fuel Lines and Fittings, and Quick Connects and Accessories. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated EHS & Sustainability Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and experience working with automotive or similar projects.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs
- USA champion of VOSS global environmental initiatives
- Maintain all OSHA recordkeeping requirements (OSHA 300, SDS management, chemical labeling, Tier 2 reporting, hearing conservation, air sampling, etc.)
- Schedule safety audits with external suppliers as needed
- Lead both the Safety Committee and Environmental Committee
- Develop and manage employee wellness initiatives such as health education, accident prevention, walking programs, happiness initiatives, lunch and learns, etc.
- Work with the leadership team to implement changes that increase performance in all EHS areas
- Develop required Health and Safety programs and review programs annually
- Conduct new hire safety and environmental orientations
- Follow all Quality Management Systems, the Environmental Management Systems, and, when applicable, support VOSS Automotive Mexico in adhering to their systems as well
- Participate in plant recycling programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Be knowledgeable about all plant safety rules and ensure all employees perform their duties in compliance with the rules and regulations
- Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of the employees
- Insist on safe work procedures and apply good judgment to the hazardous aspects of all tasks
- Respond to all safety concerns and ensure hazards are corrected as soon as possible
- Report all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to the appropriate person immediately
- Associate’s degree (AA/AS); 3 years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
