HIRING IMMEDIATELY
Sunstates Security is currently hiring Flex Security Officers for the Fort Wayne, IN area to work on-call/as needed. All shifts and days are available. This position offers a pay rate of $17.00/hr with weekly pay.
Benefits: All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more worked) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security.
Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
- Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
- Exceptional report writing skills.
- Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
- Able to work independently.
- Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form.
The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.
Scheduling ExpectationsThe Scheduling Parameters and Expectations for a Flex Officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a Flex Officer:
- You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. This may involve non-permanent assignments.
- Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
- You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
- Some shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule. Occasionally you may be called with short notice to cover for another employee.
- You are expected to work any shift you are scheduled for that falls within your described availability. If you are unavailable on a date or time within that availability, you must inform your supervisor.
For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts called, this could impact your employment status.
