Security Officer - Morning Shift

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. In this unarmed patrol role you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to deter security‑related incidents, and support access management while delivering outstanding customer service and communication.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / hour

Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
Sat 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
Sun 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a fast‑paced technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and policy violations.
• Support day‑to‑day operations by following post orders, completing required reports, assisting with directional guidance, and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the location.

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
