Structural Concrete Formwork & Substation Installation – Must be willing to travel Overview
We’re seeking experienced Structural Concrete/Formwork professionals to support the installation of below‑grade concrete structures at electrical substation sites. This role combines concrete form building, rebar and conduit work, and hands‑on support during substation equipment installation.
Key Responsibilities Structural Concrete & Formwork- Concrete Form Building: Assemble and install formwork systems for structural concrete.
- Rebar Installation: Place and secure reinforcing steel per specifications.
- PVC Conduit Installation: Install conduit for electrical and grounding systems.
- Fasteners/Anchors: Position and secure anchors and embedded hardware.
- Concrete Placement & Finishing: Support pouring, leveling, and finishing of concrete surfaces.
- Layout & Verification: Assist with layout and measurement verification for structural components.
- Materials Management: Handle, stage, and organize equipment and materials for installation.
- Equipment Spotting: Assist in positioning and aligning equipment during placement.
- Fastening of Equipment: Secure equipment to concrete anchor points in accordance with design.
- Perform general labor tasks to facilitate project progress under customer direction.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for formwork and installation tasks.
- Follow step‑by‑step instructions and work from diagrams/specifications.
- Experience with concrete
, formwork
, rebar
, conduit
, and anchor installations. - Comfortable with general construction labor
, carpentry
, and safe operation of hand/power tools
. - Ability to read and follow diagrams and specifications and maintain accurate measurements.
- Preferred: Prior experience building or supporting substation construction
.
Job Site Locations are in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan areas.
Weekly Pay + Per Diem Offered.
OSHA 10 or 30 required
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00/hr.
