Job OverviewThe Reconditioning Technician III will enhance and maintain customer satisfaction by properly preparing all cold drink equipment for installation and setting up all dispensing equipment. This role assists in all areas of equipment services to maintain a high level of customer service; help the equipment services team achieve its goals.
Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare equipment for installation following CCCI set‑up procedures, including inspection, setup of electrical system, lower cabinet, upper cabinet, and inner door.
- Complete final inspection, ensuring proper decals, timers, prices, locks, lock covers, asset tags, and touch‑up paint, and perform any other required procedures.
- Maintain, service, and repair refrigeration systems per CCCI Refrigeration procedures: transfer refrigerants, evacuate, charge systems, handle leaks, pump down, recover refrigerant, and replace components.
- Perform highest quality inspections on all equipment and prepare per customer specifications, including customized graphics, flavor, and package configurations.
- Conduct thorough cleaning, replace or repair parts, and install ancillary items such as LED kits, doors, shelves, front grills, etc.
- Perform housekeeping to maintain safe, clean, and neat work areas per CCCI standards and comply with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines.
- Follow procedures to maintain accountability of parts and labor, capturing data in a mobile device and updating CONA, SAP for accurate inventory.
- Prepare equipment for installation: remove blemishes by sanding, surface preparation, painting process and bond mixing, masking and painting equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Basic technical, electrical, and troubleshooting knowledge and mechanical skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in various positions such as squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, and standing on a concrete floor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move objects of 100 lbs. or more.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Desired soft drink industry knowledge.
- Desired equipment services experience.
- Desired SAP and Hipot experience.
- Tools used include a plasma cutter, hand tool, air tools, and hand‑held device.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge acquired through 1‑3 years of work experience.
- Requires a fit test.
- Refrigeration Level 1 License.
- Experience with painting with an air gun.
- Requires a fit test.
Work environment will vary, including but not limited to exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non‑temperature controlled.
