Maintenance/Machine Repair

• Perform all general maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and machine tools, referring to schematic diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Diagnose and repair major electrical or mechanical problems in all types of machinery, including automatic assembly equipment that may involve pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical (electronics) applications.
• Perform work of similar or lesser skill as required within the classification.
• Handle bulk chemicals for waste and production use.
• Operate forklift.

• Complete all tasks under general supervision.
• Read and interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, diagrams, sketches, written orders, and shop manuals.
• Provide assistance to other employees.
• Work with factory systems such as air, power, electric, telephone, water, HVAC, and gas.
• Have prior experience in skilled trades related to maintenance work.
• Have extensive tool repair experience.
• Diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Deal with outside contractors.
• New employees must attain satisfactory proficiency within three months.

• Work indoors and outdoors.
• Perform heavy lifting and moving frequently.
• Exposure to high voltage electricity.
• Exposure to pressurized hydraulic and air lines.
• Exposure to rotating and moving machinery.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Work at all heights with ladder or lift.
• Work in unusual body positions (lying on back, kneeling, bending over).
• Frequent bending and stooping.
• Frequent handling of awkward objects.
• Frequently exposed to pinching or being caught between situations.
• Exposure to grease, oil, cutting fluid, and solvents.

Work schedule:

6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
