Field Service Engineer – Electrification Automation (EA) Business Unit (Fort Wayne, IN)
Responsibilities- Install, test, commission, and start‑up LV and MV equipment (480 V–38 kV).
- Troubleshoot, maintain, train, and provide consulting on power‑distribution system equipment.
- Support greenfield and brownfield installation and commissioning activities across Siemens/USA.
- Travel up to 80 % – potentially national – to meet customer needs.
- Respond to emergency and relief assignments as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (plus relevant skills and experience).
- ≥ 4 years of directly related equipment experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of power‑distribution systems.
- Experience with low‑ and medium‑voltage switch gear and high‑voltage testing.
- Electrical‑control circuit troubleshooting and repair.
- Availability for emergency support.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with OSHA safety practices; must adhere to guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license; U.S. resident 21 + years old; must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years field‑service experience.
- Experience with protection and control relays.
- Experience with project‑management software.
- High‑voltage circuit‑breaker knowledge (e.g., SF6).
- MSHA 46/48, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E certifications.
- TWIC card and NETA/NICET credentials.
Pay range: $73,500 – $126,000 annually with a target incentive of 5 % of base salary.
