Experienced Low Voltage Service Technician:
The primary role is to assist the Service Manager with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of low voltage systems within facilities, including fire alarm, video surveillance, door access, AV, audio, paging, intercom, nurse call, and network. Technicians also gain experience in design, estimating, engineering, and sales within the company.

• Service, inspect, test, and maintain low voltage systems
• Troubleshoot, adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry, components, and programming. Record effects on system performance
• Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and dependability by following instructions and being an active listener
• Adapt well to changing circumstances or conditions in the field
• Pursue career development opportunities such as training and certification courses
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
• Keep a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all New Era policies regarding dress code, safety, attendance, etc.
• Perform other duties as directed by management
• Engage in some engineering tasks for nurse call systems

• Prior access control, CCTV, security alarm, intercom, and audio experience
• Obtain Avixa CTS, NICET, or other industry certifications
• Proficient system programming experience
• Proficient use of MS Windows PC and MS Office applications
• Familiar with RTA software and acoustic measurements
• Communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Proficient with basic hand tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stoop, balance, stand, walk, sit and climb and/or work on a ladder

Associate Electronics degree (or minimum 5 years of experience) in systems installation, service, programming, and commissioning.

• Ability to stand on a concrete floor for long periods
• Ability to lift and/or move equipment at least 60 pounds on a repetitive basis
• Must be able to lift equipment and construction supplies from floor height to overhead while loading/unloading trucks or preparing equipment for installations, service calls, and events
• Ability to climb and work at heights in excess of 25 feet during installations and job sites
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers
• Reaching, grasping, and carrying activities required
• Occasional outside activities subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations
• Must have a clean driving record and valid/current driver’s license
• Ability to drive a company van to client sites
