City of Fort Wayne - Water Filtration Plant

Position:
Industrial Electrical Technician

Pay: $31.00 - $36.50 per hour

Schedule:

7:00 a.m.

- 3:00 p.m.

Location:

Fort Wayne, IN

What You'll Do:

* Troubleshoot, program, calibrate, and repair equipment and automated systems at the Filtration Plant

* Work with PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, telemetry, instrumentation, and electrical/electronic systems

* Design, install, and maintain electrical circuits and control systems

* Assist with capital improvement projects, budgeting, and planning

* Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on low and medium voltage systems

* Maintain fiber optic networks and process/computer systems

* Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code and City safety regulations

* Train and assist other employees as needed

* Remain on-call for emergencies

Must-Have

Qualifications:

* Associate's degree or technical school plus 3 years experience, OR 5 years related experience

* Allen County Journeyman Electrician License (or 5 years documented experience in Industrial PLCs/electrical systems)

* CPR, First Aid, Confined Space Entry certification

* Valid Indiana Driver's License

* Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
