Low Voltage Cable Technician – Structured Cabling & Data Center
Fort Wayne, IN
Earn $22–$25/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader.
Responsibilities- Install Cat6 network cabling and pre-terminated single-mode and multi-mode fiber
- Work with LC and MPO fiber connectors for high-performance connectivity
- Dress and organize cables using proper wire-management techniques, including cable trays and ladder racks
- Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other data center hardware
- Accurately label all cables and components to maintain clean documentation
- Read and interpret data center layouts, network diagrams, and technical blueprints
- Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety
- Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in commercial or data center environments
- Proven experience installing Cat6 and fiber optic cabling (pre‑terminated preferred)
- Familiarity with LC and MPO connectors
- Working knowledge of telecom and data network infrastructure
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
- Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi‑vis vest, steel toe boots)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
