Experienced HVAC Technician – servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell tower sites. This is a regional position in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. Candidates should be responsible, self‑directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and eager to learn and grow in the telecom industry.
Responsibilities- Maintain cooling systems – diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install and replace components of entire systems.
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑out services.
- Compile timely and accurate daily work reports.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Qualifications- Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (required).
- 3 + years of HVAC maintenance experience (commercial preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must reside in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area.
- Available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
- Extensive daily travel within an independent work structure.
- Occasional overnight travel; company covers all costs and provides per‑diem.
- Drive to remote work sites as needed.
- Work outdoors in ambient temperatures.
- Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). examination.
- Compliance with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards.
$30.00–$38.00 hourly (DOE). Pay is influenced by skill set, experience, and location.
Base wage may be supplemented by performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, a company vehicle, per‑diem, and other applicable compensation.
