As a Service Technician, you are a vital partner to our clients, ensuring their systems operate at peak efficiency with a "white‑glove" service approach.

Position

Summary

We are seeking a Service Technician to manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of our filtration systems across Northeast Indiana. This is a field-based role requiring a blend of mechanical aptitude and professional communication. You will be responsible for the entire technical lifecycle of our equipment—from running new water lines to performing precision water quality tests—to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Installation: Professionally install and maintain point‑of‑use bottleless coolers, reverse osmosis systems, ice machines, and multi‑stage filtration units. Professionally run water lines (1/4" and 3/8" tubing) from source points to equipment, ensuring clean, hidden, and secure routing.
  • System Maintenance: Perform scheduled 6‑month and 12‑month preventative maintenance, including multi‑stage filter replacements, UV lamp changes, and tank sanitization.
  • Quality Testing: Conduct TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), pressure, and temperature and other applicable industry tests during every visit to verify filtration effectiveness and provide clients with documented results.
  • Rapid Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical issues (e.g., leaks, heating/cooling failures, or dispenser malfunctions) within 24–48 hours of a service call.
  • B2B Relationship Management: Act as a professional representative in corporate, healthcare, and industrial environments, communicating clearly with office managers regarding service outcomes. Identify opportunities for system upgrades, additional filtration, or equipment replacements.
  • Fleet & Inventory: Maintain a clean, fully‑stocked company service vehicle and manage digital workflows as directed.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical Aptitude: 1–3 years of experience in light plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, or similar technical field service.
  • Skills: Proficiency with basic hand and power tools (drills, tube cutters, wrenches) and the ability to use a multi‑meter for electrical troubleshooting.
  • Professionalism: Exceptional "customer‑first" attitude with the ability to work quietly and respectfully in professional office settings.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and maneuver equipment in tight spaces (under sinks, behind cabinets).
  • License: Valid Indiana Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
Requirements
  • Acceptable Criminal Background Screening
  • Acceptable Drug Screening
  • Acceptable Driving Background Check to meet company insurance policy requirements
Compensation & Benefits
  • Earnings: Competitive hourly base pay with monthly bonuses based on service volume and customer retention.
  • Mileage: Reimbursement or car allowance (depending on territory)
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement: 401(k) with company matching program.
  • Time Off: Paid holidays and PTO policy.
  • Training: Paid training and onboarding program.
  • Career Growth: Technician → Senior Technician → Lead Installer → Service Manager opportunities as the company grows.
