The Automation and Controls Technician provides hands‑on technical support for automated manufacturing equipment and control systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting PLCs, motor drives, and other automation systems, performing preventive maintenance, supporting equipment installations and integrations, and helping ensure reliable production operations. Success in this position requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs and other automated control system - s.Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, overhaul production machinery, and assist with building and testing experimental equipmen
- t.Provide technical troubleshooting and support for manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivit
- y.Diagnose and troubleshoot motor drives, controllers, and related electrical system
- s.Support internal engineering, maintenance, and process improvement project
- s.Perform preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment and automation system
- s.Assist with the installation, startup, integration, and commissioning of new equipment and control system
- s.Maintain accurate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair documentatio
- n.Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures while performing assigned dutie

Required Qualifications and Skint.
Preferred Qualifications and Sk
- lls Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a certificate in an electrical-related fie
- ld.
Proficiency with PCs and Rockwell Automation syste - ms.
Experience with PLC programming, variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo systems, industrial sensors, and Relay Ladder Log - ic.
Experience with Panel View, Factory Talk, or other Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming platfor - ms.
Experience performing and documenting preventive and non-routine maintenance activiti - es.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skil - ls.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skil - ls.
Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing environme
- ills Experience working within ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or CFR 820 regulated environme
- nts.
Journeyman or Master Electrician Lice - nse.
Strong computer skills, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applicati - ons.
Ability to inspect, adjust, replace, and repair mechanical drive components, including chains, sprockets, pulleys, bearings, and gearbo - xes.
Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and replace pneumatic components, including solenoids, cylinders, and related syst - ms.
Knowledge of slitting and winding processes, equipment, and manufacturing meth - ods.
Five or more years of experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment in a production environm - ent.
Experience operating scissor lifts, forklifts, or other material handling equipm
