RME Operator (RMEO)
Maintenance at Amazon Operations is central to our business, delivering thousands of products daily across countries. The RME (Reliability Maintenance & Engineering) team works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep robotics and material handling equipment running smoothly. The RME Operator (RMEO) role supports the team in day‑to‑day maintenance tasks, learning how to maintain and repair conveyance systems, material handling equipment, and site‑specific building technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform equipment inspections and clear jams.
- Replace spare parts according to maintenance manuals.
- Conduct testing and preventive maintenance checks on a variety of equipment.
- Use a laptop or tablet to manage work orders.
- Utilize basic workshop tools as needed.
- Follow safe work practices at all times.
Basic Qualifications:
- One year as a Blue Badge Amazon employee.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics.
- At least 1 year of technical problem‑solving experience.
- Experience with mechanical systems.
- Experience with electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical education related to the field.
- Associate degree in Mechatronics or high‑school CTE in Mechatronics.
- Experience working on an Amazon Robotics floor.
- Experience working as an Amazon Amnesty floor monitor.
Must be able to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps or ladders, use an aerial lift, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. of equipment. Tasks involve crouching, bending, and reaching to install or move equipment, as well as moving between departments, floors, and properties—average 6 to 12 miles per day. Work may be conducted in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and requires regular computer use for 1–2 hours daily.

Compensation: $16.91 – $19.89 per hour, depending on location and experience.
