Service technician assures crane operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements and repairs.
- Frequent travel to client site required.
- Company vehicle provided, as well as cell phone, tablet, and power tools.
- Employee must provide their own hand tools.
- Extensive training period consists of shadowing and riding along with experienced Service Technician for an estimated 6 months (Length and duration of training period varies based on overall competence).
- Must be on call 24/7 at least once every 6 weeks. Out of town/overnight travel offered, but not required.
- Maintains equipment operation by conducting periodic inspections, completing preventive maintenance requirements, and identifying and repairing according to OSHA, ANSI, and Mfg standards.
- Repairs and upgrades to overhead cranes by troubleshooting description of malfunction, conducting tests, identifying problems and resolutions. This troubleshooting will be on mechanical and electrical components
- Comfortable working approximately 15 hours of overtime each week ( most overtime is worked during evenings and weekends )
- Active communication with customers and office staff including the ability to provide thorough documentation and detailed analysis
- Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Comfortable working at heights, occasional overtime, and in varied working conditions
- Strong Industrial Maintenance knowledge & experience
- Not afraid of working in heights. Must work in heights of approximately 130 feet once every 3-4 months. Service Technician will be tied off and follow all OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Industrial Electric Maintenance experience - comfortable troubleshooting and repairing up to 480v 3-phase electric
- Good driving record (required for insurance purposes)
- Ability to make decisions, problem solving skills, self-directed, and quality focused
- Welding experience is a plus
- Major Medical
