Job SummaryThe Battle Management Software (BMS) mission is to provide world‑class software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. The BMS software team in Ft. Wayne, IN is looking to add a Software Engineer to their development team. This position is 100% onsite in Ft. Wayne, IN.
Responsibilities- Participate in collaborative, cross‑disciplined integrated product teams, employing agile software development techniques and resources to plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
- Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws or regulations.
- Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++, Python, Ada, or similar languages.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum, Scrum at Scale, SAFe, and Dev Sec Ops .
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with time‑critical requirements.
- Experience contributing to a team environment to develop creative solutions to difficult technical problems.
- Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible.
- Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Red Hat and Linux operating systems.
- Exposure to open systems architectures and modular design principles.
- Experience with design, code, integration, and test of large systems.
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD.
