Senior Software Engineer - Fort Wayne Indiana

Role Overview

Software Engineer – Space & RF Sensors, Fort Wayne, IN. Onsite. U.S. citizenship required. Secret clearance required.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for aerospace and defense applications.
• Analyze and translate system requirements into detailed software specifications and designs.
• Implement, test, and debug software solutions to meet project requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware engineering and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in code reviews, testing procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
• Document software designs, test results and troubleshooting processes.

• Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with programming languages such as C++, Java, Python or other languages.
• Experience with Object‑Oriented Design (OOD) principles and practices.
• U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

• Collaborative team player with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with Linux and/or real‑time embedded systems such as vx Works or Integrity.
• Knowledge of Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration and performance.
• Familiarity with gRPC, Protobufs, Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
• Active U.S. government security clearance if required for the role.

Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
