We are seeking a motivated Software Section Leader to join the Software Team within the Battle Management Systems Software Department. The Section Leader oversees software personnel to meet program needs in a dynamic agile environment.
What You Will Do- Ensure each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement.
- Contribute to the technical oversight of employees in support of their daily work assignments.
- Develop and conduct performance appraisals.
- Plan salaries and staffing.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and communicate program information.
- Support a major software program.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with complex systems.
- Experience with software development techniques and tools: C/C++, Java, or Ada.
- Experience designing, coding, integrating, and testing large systems.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum, SAFe, and Dev Sec Ops .
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Interim Secret clearance on day 1.
- Master’s degree in STEM and 3 years of experience.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with time‑critical requirements.
- Experience contributing to a team environment for developing creative technical solutions.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Red Hat and Linux operating systems.
- Exposure to open systems architectures and modular design principles.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision‑making skills.
- Customer focus and collaboration skills.
- Leadership presence and ability to interact with customers, teammates, and suppliers.

- Competitive salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
