The Integrated Secure Processing Solutions (SPS) team seeks a Software Engineer to collaborate with high‑performance teams on mission‑critical solutions that support Mission Systems. The engineer will work in an adaptive environment that emphasizes rapid learning, requirements analysis, and the development of complex systems incorporating commercial and military communication functionality.
WhatYou Will Do
- Collaborate on System Requirements and Software Development: join a dynamic software team in a cross‑functional environment, contributing to the definition of system requirements and translating them into detailed software requirements, UML/SysML models, and diagrams for a large‑scale program.
- Effective Communication and Team
Collaboration:
work closely with other software engineers and team members to ensure clear communication and collaboration, fostering a solution‑focused environment across multiple disciplines. - Provide Technical Support to SBCDS Team: play a key role in providing direct support to the SBCDS team, answering technical questions and resolving issues promptly to keep development on track and maintain system integrity.
- Develop Code to Meet Customer and Certification Standards: collaborate with the team to maintain, enhance, and develop software that aligns with customer requirements and meets certification standards, ensuring both functionality and compliance.
- Software Implementation in Test Environments: take responsibility for producing high‑quality software implementations and integrating them within testing environments, ensuring the code is thoroughly tested and meets all specified requirements.
- Experience with embedded development using object‑oriented design.
- Experience with development tool sets such as Jira, Subversion/Git/Version Management.
- Active and transferable SECRET security clearance required prior to the start date.
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience with requirements analysis and decomposition.
- Experience with virtualization.
- Knowledge of microservices, containers, and orchestrators.
- Knowledge and/or experience with memory‑safe applications (Ada or Rust).
- Experience with automated test environments (Python).
- Knowledge of Dev Sec Ops and CI/CD.
- Experience in graphical user interfaces with Java/React or similar frameworks like Swing or JavaFX.
- Knowledge and experience with Data Format Description Language (DFDL).
- Experience integrating/deploying software to hardware solutions.
