The mission of the software team in Fort Wayne, IN is to provide world‑class software for our customers. We are looking to add software engineers to our development team for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, Advanced Sensor Systems, and Surveillance and Warning systems.
What You Will Do- Participate in collaborative, cross‑discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
- Responsible for some or all of a Software product, contributing as a software team member and possibly leading a small software team.
- Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant professional experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar software object‑oriented language.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance required; only U.S. Citizens can obtain security clearance.
- Strong problem‑solving, teamwork and communication skills.
- Proven self‑motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation).
- Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools.
- Experience developing software using Agile techniques such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test‑Driven Development.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with time‑critical requirements.
- Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems.
- Experience working with Continuous Integration/Development & Integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Eclipse, and Ansible.
- Experience with Red Hat, Linux, VxWorks, INTEGRITY, or other RTOS.
- Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.
